What products and services does Succulent Surprise provide? 

We are an online retailer of real, ready to display succulents and living plants gifts, we cater for most occasion that you would normally gift cut flowers for such as Birthday's, Aniversaries, New Baby, Just because, Thank you, Valentine, Christmas, Easter, Mother's Day and Father's Day.

Our main products are potted succulents, succulent gardens, terrariums and gorgeous living indoor plants which we believe will make a great gifts especially when combined with a special addition such as alcohol, chocolates, candy, soft toys, candles or helium balloons.

We will ensure that your gift is packaged beautifully, include a complimentary gift card with your personalised message printed on it and deliver it to you or your loved one in a timely and professional manner.

 

Can I choose a specific succulent that I wish to gift?

Unfortunately unless you purchase a succulent from our limited edition range, you will not be able to choose a specific succulent. This is because of the seasonal nature of succulents and our inability to guarantee that a particular succulent will be available at any point in time. 

Generally, we stock a wide variety of large 6 to 12cm succulents, you can select the variety of succulent plant that you wish to purchase from the following:

1) Echevarias -  Are rosette shaped plants with smooth leaves

2) Haworthias, Gasterias and Aloe - Have firm, tough, fleshy leaves that are dark in colour

3) Cactus - Have a thick fleshy stem which typically bears spines, lacks leaves, and may have coloured flowers

Please Note - Where no nomination is made for 12cm (large) pots we will select the succulent that best matches the pot that you selected. 

 

Do your pots have drainage holes?

No, our pots do not have drainage holes which makes them perfect for indoor use. Single succulents will come in their own plastic insert with holes which fits perfectly inside our single pots. The plastic insert containing the succulent can be removed when watering the plant and returned to the pot once the water has drained out. Be careful when removing the plastic insert especially if it contains a cactus. You may wish to wear thick plastic gloves and cover the cactus with newspaper.

This method of watering will eliminate water build up that will may cause the plant to rot and leave you floor and furniture clean.

 

How and how often should I water my plants?

Succulents and Cacti can actually go a while without watering, 

Make sure that soil is relatively dry before watering your plant.

If you are not sure whether to water or not. Don't.  Wait another week before watering.

 

When should I repot my succulent or plant?

After a few month your plant may outgrow the pot it originally came in, consider repotting it in a slightly bigger pot with a drainage hole. For succulents and cacti, we recommend using a succulent and cacti soil mix which can be purchased at your local nursery.

 

How will my purchase be packaged or wrapped?

Your purchase will be packaged according to the items and size of the items that you purchase. If its intended as a gift it will be wrapped accordingly and include a complimentary gift card with your personalised message.

We have a selection of boxes, hessian bags, tissue paper, clear cellophane, different colour ribbons, bamboo trays and various other containers/boxes on hand and we will best match the packaging according to the items you purchase.

Do you have a guarantee?

All living plants have a 7 day freshness guarantee. 

We will gladly exchange any plant that dies within 7 days of arrival. Please take a photo of the plant and email picture to info@succulentsurprise.com.au within 7 days of receiving your plant. 

To assist us with quality control, it is our policy to collect the original plant at the time we deliver the new one.

 

 

Do you offer a refund?

We do not provide refunds for change of mind purchases. However, we will honor any refund required by the Australian Consumer Protection Legislation. 

You satisfaction is very important to us. If you are not happy with your order or gift for any reason please send us an email at info@succulentsurprise.com.au

Please Note: All refunds on online and phone orders will be credited back to the original credit card or Pay Pal account used to pay for the order.

 

Can I make changes or cancel my order after it has been submitted?

To cancel or change you order you will need to contact us at least 24 hours prior to the delivery scheduled date by sending us an email to info@succulentsurprise.com.au. For cancellations, we will refund the full amount paid less $15.00 administration fee.

Please note that we are unable to cancel or change orders that have been created or are in the process of being delivered.

 

Does Succulent Surprise have a retail shop?

No. At this time we are purely an online retailer, however we arrange for pickup from our studio in padstow.
